Africa’s Clean Energy Investment Is Surging.

Al Rauda fruit00003 - Al Rauda Group sustainable agriculture and agroforestry investment

Here Is Why the Momentum Is Real:

Private investment in Africa’s clean energy sector has grown significantly from $17 billion in 2019 to nearly $40 billion in 2024. African startups in the space raised $2.8 billion by Q4 2025.

While capital costs for utility-scale projects remain higher than in developed markets, blended finance tools, green bonds, guarantees and local currency solutions are steadily improving the equation.

Clean energy sits at the centre of our strategy at Al Rauda Group. We understand that energy access does more than light homes, it powers agribusiness, education, healthcare and entire local economies.

Africa has ambitious 2030 targets. Meeting them will require substantial concessional capital to unlock far larger volumes of private investment. The runway is long, but the direction is clear.
